"From my earliest days growing up in Crozet, Virginia, I could always be found rummaging through any cosmetic bag or makeup drawer in my vicinity. Every nickel in my pocket went toward lip gloss, blush, and anything beauty-related. I was completely obsessed — and honestly, I still am. So finding myself in the makeup chair of some of the world’s most incredible talents at just 17 years old was the highlight of my runway experiences in New York, London, Milan, and Paris.
For seven years, I had the privilege of serving as a canvas for — and learning from — industry icons like Pat McGrath, Lisa Eldridge, and so many others. I asked questions, studied their process, and watched their confidence and precision at work. I took mental notes of everything, from their professionalism to the contents of their kit. Those moments didn’t just inspire me — they ignited something deeper. They confirmed what I had quietly known all along: being the model was never the dream. Being the makeup artist was. I knew it was only a matter of time.
